OSHA 29CFR1910.1001 administered by MIOSHA in Michigan - Requires asbestos awareness training for employees in buildings constructed in or before 1981 and specifies that housekeeping/custodial staff, trades and maintenance workers and others with a likelihood of coming into contact with asbestos containing materials such as those sweeping or mopping floor coverings, maintenance persons working on electrical, plumbing, hvac systems etc. receive this training.
