Description
Join us for the finals of this prestigious and exciting competition, which draws contestants from around the world. The winner receives $6,000 and the opportunity to perform with the Flint Symphony Orchestra. The Competition is held each year by the St. Cecilia Society in memory of William C. Byrd, former FSO conductor. It continues his commitment of fostering the growth and development of young musicians. The Competition rotates among voice, piano, strings, and winds & brass.
