The first weekend of Scarecrow Fest is Dogs Weekend, with the Rock N Roll K-9 performance team putting on a total of 6 shows -- 3 shows on Saturday and 3 shows on Sunday - 11:30 am, 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday from noon - 6 pm, try your hand at the pumpkin catapult and see how far you can launch a pumpkin! Other fun fall-themed activities include pumpkin bowling, arts and crafts, pumpkin painting and riding Grandpa Tiny’s Barrel Train! Some activities have a small fee; there is no entry fee for the Scarecrow Fest event. On Sunday, October 17, the doggie costume contest is at 5:15 pm on the Fest Platz Stage. Pre-registration at Hello Cats & Dogs is required for the costume contest; sign your pup up from 11 am to 4:30 pm that day! Following the costume contest, there is a doggie pet parade throughout the complex from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm - dogs who participate will receive a treat bag! Scarecrow Fest will also be held the weekend of October 24 & 25, with the theme of Kids Weekend! Please note: Due to restrictions from COVID19, some event details may change. Keep an eye on this page for updates! River Place Shops requires all guests to wear a mask to enter any enclosed spaces at the shopping complex or throughout Frankenmuth. We encourage all participants to social distance themselves from others outside of their household and stay home if they are sick or experiencing any symptoms related to the coronavirus. Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the complex, along with both indoor and outdoor bathrooms.
