Description
The Mott Community College (MCC) Concert Band will present The Classics to Contemporary Marches & More!, a concert on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Mott Memorial Building Auditorium. The concert will feature soloists Dirk Nieuwenhuis on soprano saxophone and Richard Hearing on trumpet.
Musical selections include Herbie Hancock's jazz classic "Tell Me A Bedtime Story" in an arrangement done by Michigan composer David Reed, and two Irish Folk Melodies arranged by Donald Hunsberger. Other pieces include works by Frank Ticheli, Gustav Holst, John Mackey, David Reed and Eric Whitacre.
The concert is free and open to the public. Limited parking is available adjacent to the Mott Memorial Building, including handicapped parking. More parking is available in the lot near the MCC Event Center.
