A Latin sound you won’t want to miss.
Get ready for a high-energy evening of guitar mastery, passionate vocals, and irresistible Latin rhythms as Radio Free Honduras brings the vibrant spirit of Central America to Flint!
Led by legendary Honduran guitarist Charlie Baran, this Chicago-based band blends traditional Latin music with modern Americana, rock, and soul influences. Dance, sway, or just sit back and enjoy the vibe—there’s something for everyone.
This group is among bands from around the world that will hit the stage in Flint this spring, summer and fall for the 2025 Levitt AMP Flint Music Series.
Communities First, Inc. (CFI) is thrilled to announce that it will serve as the official host and organizer of this year’s music series, bringing 10 free, family-friendly concerts to wonderful public spaces in Flint from May 27 through September 30.
With generous support from the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, CFI was awarded a $30,000 Levitt AMP grant, matched by community contributions, to celebrate the joy and unity that free live music fosters in public spaces.
“This is more than a music series—it’s about creating a place where people from all walks of life can come together and feel a sense of belonging,” said Glenn Wilson, President and CEO of Communities First, Inc. “We’re proud to be the new organizers of this amazing series and excited to continue its legacy while expanding its impact across Flint. Music is something that brings us all together!”
The Levitt AMP Flint Music Series builds on the successful foundation laid by Jazz on Wheels, the presenter of this series in 2023 and 2024, and will feature 10 diverse music acts from across the globe, including groups from Ukraine, Boston, Grand Rapids, Louisiana, Florida, New York City, Detroit, and Chicago. The series transforms everyday spaces into vibrant gathering places.
All concerts are free to the public, with a food truck, games, and local community resources available at each event.
