Description
A Night of Soulful Sophistication & Smooth Jazz Vibes
Internationally acclaimed guitarist JJ Sansaverino brings his high-energy, smooth jazz sound to Flint, joined by powerhouse vocalist Vivian Sessoms and rising star Jason Jackson. This NYC-based trio of talent will deliver a genre-bending experience with lush melodies, rich vocals, and virtuoso musicianship.
Whether you’re a jazz lover or just ready for an unforgettable evening of live music, this show will stir your soul and move your feet.
JJ and guests are among groups from around the world that will hit the stage in Flint this spring, summer and fall for the 2025 Levitt AMP Flint Music Series.
With generous support from the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, CFI was awarded a $30,000 Levitt AMP grant, matched by community contributions, to celebrate the joy and unity that free live music fosters in public spaces.
“This is more than a music series—it’s about creating a place where people from all walks of life can come together and feel a sense of belonging,” said Glenn Wilson, President and CEO of Communities First, Inc. “We’re proud to be the new organizers of this amazing series and excited to continue its legacy while expanding its impact across Flint. Music is something that brings us all together!”
The Levitt AMP Flint Music Series builds on the successful foundation laid by Jazz on Wheels, the presenter of this series in 2023 and 2024, and will feature 10 diverse music acts from across the globe, including groups from Ukraine, Boston, Grand Rapids, Louisiana, Florida, New York City, Detroit, and Chicago. The series transforms everyday spaces into vibrant gathering places.
