Faculty Concert - Contemporary Europe: Virtuosity Through Expression Jordan Smith, flute March 17th, 7pm Contemporary Europe: Virtuosity Through Expression Sponsored by Joe and Patti Higgins FSPA Flute Instructor Jordan Smith and guests will explore composers from the early to mid-20th century. The pieces chosen will explore how composers like Milhaud and Damase infused the modern musical movements of jazz, Latin music, and other genres into their compositions to develop what became known as the “Modernist” era of classical music.
