Description

This Tony Award winning play pits the charming rogue, MacMurphy, against very tightly wound and controlling Nurse Ratchet. MacMurphy mistakenly thinks he can get out of a short prison sentence by faking mental illness and going instead to a mental institution. MacMurphy soon takes over the ‘yard’ and accomplishes what the doctors have been unable to do for 12 years – get the mute Indian Chief to talk.
