Description
Travel back to a time when things were a whole lot simpler. Crossroads Village is a Great Lakes town from the turn of the century with 34 historic structures and a thriving community. Enjoy a 40-minute journey on an authentic Baldwin Steam locomotive, the Huckleberry Railroad, take a scenic ride on the Genesee Belle, a replica of the paddlewheel riverboats that were popular during Mark Twain's time, catch a show at the Colwell Opera House or learn a trade from one of the village's craftspeople. This weekend is Michigan Timber Days at the village featuring logging/Paul Bunyan events, Lumberjack activites, Log Rolling, Cross Out Sawing, competitions and more. It is recommended that Huckleberry Railroad train tickets by purchased in advance as the train often sells out.
