On Saturday, November 16, Communities First, Inc. will present the Urban Organic Experience featuring Top 10 Billboard Jazz Soul Vocalist, Chantae Cann! She is a charismatic influence with a voice that transcends through time. Soothing, sweet, comforting and angelic are some of the words that have been used to describe Ms. Cann’s vocals. Cann has been blessed to travel the world as a background vocalist (10+ years) with India Arie and others. She’s had the tremendous honor of collaborating with artists/bands such as, Snarky Puppy, Masego, PJ Morton, Jonathan McReynolds and The Foreign Exchange. Cann has toured the world as a solo artist, most recently opening for India Arie on the Worthy Tour and Rashaan Patterson's Euro Tour. Regarding her Flint performance Cann says “Flint has gotten beat up a lot over the last 5 years. We are not coming in on that narrative. We are coming in with the idea that we want to share in the joys of Flint--the things that make Flint what it is.
