Witness beautiful morning and evening flights by more than 20 hot air balloons over Frankenmuth during Balloons Over Bavarian Inn! Nightly balloon glows take place during Frankenmuth Dog Bowl in the grassy field near River Place Shops.

Friday, May 23
Evening Balloon Flight: 7:00 to 8:30 PM
Nightly Balloon Glow: 9:00 to 10:00 PM at River Place Shops Field – Experience the magic of 12+ tethered hot air balloons inflating and glowing - includes opportunities to interact with the pilots and crew during each Nightly Balloon Glow at Dog Bowl.
Saturday, May 24
Morning Balloon Flight: 7:00 to 8:00 AM

Do you live within a 10-mile radius of Frankenmuth? If so and you would like to allow a Hot Air Balloon to land or launch from your property, please place a white sheet on the spot starting Friday early morning until Monday afternoon. Make sure your sheet can be seen from the air and when a Balloon Pilot sees it he knows you have given him permission to land. Thank You for welcoming the Hot Air Balloons to our community!
All activities take place at River Place Shops, 925 S. Main St. Parking is free and located around the German-styled shopping complex and along Weiss Street. With the events spread out on over 25 acres of Bavarian Inn property, there will be plenty of space for guests and canines to enjoy themselves safely.
