Description

For one weekend every year, Free City turns a rough industrial site, known as the Chevy Commons, into an enchanting place of interaction and exploration filled with live music by local bands, beverages, food trucks, unexpected works of light art, ecology-based installations, experimental vehicles, inflatable structures and surprise performances. This year, the festival launches with the lighting of 200 fused pink flares, creating a gigantic puffy cloud of pink smoke - a metaphor for the softening of Flint image of toughness.
